“In life, you can control two things: your attitude and your effort.” We live in a world where adversity is at the root of all discouragement. When things get hard, it easy to step back and wait for the misfortune to conclude. However, if you want something in this life, you have to go and get it; it is as simple as that. There are people scared to rise to the occasion, but then there are others who fear no challenge. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. The great Kobe Bryant once said, “Rest at the end, not in the middle.” Yes, he may have been alluding to his rigorous work ethic: first one in the gym/last one to leave. But, this very mindset is the formula for success. No matter your race, gender, religion, or creed, if you want to accomplish something big, you better embody the right attitude and give it your all. Life is too short to lack intensity and courage. Be strong, be brave, and shoot for the stars just like Kobe once did.
